Functions at Africa
Africa, Albany is an ideal function venue, with the features and experienced staff to ensure your celebration or occasion is a memorable one. For a 21st, corporate event, milestone birthday, engagement, wedding or other special occasion, it is sure to be better at Africa, Albany. Our offering includes no hire fee and:

Booking Deposit: Deposit of $250 payable to confirm large function bookings. Fully refundable if guest numbers approximate the booking, no damage beyond normal wear/tear and no other amounts owing.
Security: Large functions incur security charges. $140 per guard, payable in advance.
Music and Entertainment: Live entertainment during Sunday country brunch (Jamesray and Friends, Midday to 3pm). At other times, background music is played, mainly classic hits. If entertainment or a DJ are required on another night, this can be booked for you - payable in advance, at cost.
Food Options: Party platters include mixed ($49) or seafood ($59) savouries; sandwiches ($35); lunch mix of savouries & sandwiches ($39); baked snacks - mince pies, potato tops, sausage roll ($35 to $39); cheeses/fruits/nuts/crackers ($59). Super Party Mix ($59) combines mixed + seafood + baked treats.
Platters will be prepared to suit requirements. A full range of hors d'oeuvre is available, priced to order.
For a full meal, there is an a la carte menu (20 guests or less), BBQ's or buffets. 3 types of BBQ menus ($25, $37 and $49) - minimum 20 guests - adapted to meet any specific requirements.
Buffet menus are designed to meet most budgets and preferences. Prices from $15 to $60 per person.
Head-Chef, Andy Chapman and his team provide fresh, tasty nibbles, snacks and meals at reasonable prices.
Function food should be booked in advance - 50% deposit required.
Bar Tabs: Set up and managed to meet each function's requirements. From limited to open bar, from fully complementary to subsidised, from small limits to unlimited tabs, no problem. The necessary information is provided to guests while implementing your choices and limits.
Beverages and Prices: Africa stocks a wide range of NZ beverages, including some African favourites. Prices are competitive, with discount packages available for regular and large functions. In addition to offering many low alcohol and alcohol-free beverages, Africa provides complimentary soft drinks for Sober Drivers.
Serengeti Room: Furnished and equipped as Boardroom. Free private dining/meetings for large functions (private retreat), community groups and others purchasing food/beverages.

PLEASE NOTE: The Sale of Liquor Act prohibits persons under the age of 18 from being on the premises, unless accompanied and supervised by their parent or legal guardian. We cannot allow any exceptions.
